A 125 word blog about the ending of “The Pardoner’s Tale” and what it might have in common with the Inferno.
The pardoner’s tale and the Inferno are two completely different stories, but they do have some similarities. First let me explain the two stories. The Inferno is about the nine circles of hell and how each of them is punished, yes it’s also about Dante, but I’m not going to focus on him (like he wants me to). The pardoner’s tale is about death or the plague to be exact. People are dying all over and these three drunks take in upon themselves to kill Death. (say what?) yep they are out looking for death.
Now how is all that similar. It’s easy really if you’ve read the books. They are both about the sin is the punishment. The three drunks go looking for death to kill him and instead they all end up killing each other. The story has more than one sin though, greed and violence…..or would it be violence against your neighbor. You reap what you sow. And there you have it BAM similarities Mind=Blown….no Ok then
